How to Set-up Email for Outlook 2007

Follow these steps to create Email connection to Outlook 2007

1. In Outlook, go to Tools Menu
2. Select Account Settings
3. On the Email tab, click New
4. Select service type:  IMAP
5. Click Next
6. Click to select the Manually configure server settings or additional server types
7. Click Next
8. Click Internet Email
9. Click Next
10. Complete the following fields
    • User Information
      • Your name:       type your full name
      • Email address:  type your full email address
    • Server Information
      • Account Type: IMAP
      • Incoming Mail server:  mail.bss.systems
      • Outgoing Mail server:  mail.bss.systems
    • Logon Information
      • User name:  type your full email address
      • Password:    type your password
    • Remember password: (optional)
      • If you check the Remember password box. Outlook will not request it each time you log on.
      • If others use your computer, it's safer to enter your password each time you check mail. 
11. Click More Settings
12. Select Outgoing Server Tab
    • Click to select My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication
    • Click to select Use same settings as my incoming mail server
13. Select Advanced Tab and update the following information
    • Incoming server (IMAP)
      • Port:      993
      • Encryption Method:  Auto
    • Outgoing server (SMTP)
      • Port:      465
      • Encryption Method:  Auto
14. Click Ok
15. Click Next
16. Once all test completed successfully, click Close
17. Click Finish
