How to Set-up Email for Outlook 2010

Follow these steps to create Email connection to Outlook 2010

 

  1. In Outlook, go to File
  2. Click the Info tab
  3. Click Add Account
  4. On the Email tab, click New
  5. Select Manually configure server settings or additional server types
  6. Click Next
  7. Select Internet E-Mail
  8. Click Next
  9. Complete the following fields
    • User Information
      • Your name:       type your full name
      • Email address:  type your full email address
    • Server Information
      • Account Type:  IMAP
      • Incoming Mail server: mail.bss.systems
      • Outgoing Mail server: mail.bss.systems
    • Logon Information
      • User name:  type your full email address
      • Password:    type your password
    • Remember password: (optional)
      • If you check the Remember password box. Outlook will not request it each time you log on.
      • If others use your computer, it's safer to enter your password each time you check mail. 
  10. Click More Settings
  11. Select Outgoing Server Tab
    • Click to select My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication
    • Click to select Use same settings as my incoming mail server
  12. Select Advanced Tab and update the following information
    • Incoming server (IMAP)
      • Port:      993
      • Encryption Method:  Auto
    • Outgoing server (SMTP)
      • Port:      465
      • Encryption Method:  Auto
  13. Click Ok
  14. Click Next
  15. Once all test completed successfully, click Close
  16. Click Finish
